If you need to view a detailed log of CCleaner's activities for troubleshooting then you can run the software in debug mode.
When you chose to run CCleaner in debug mode it creates a log file, where information with different priorities will be listed. The number of messages in the list depends on the choice of a debug mode level. Available levels are as follow:

- /debug - generates a log of CCleaner’s operations, all entries are stored in log files
- /debug2 - generates a log of CCleaner’s operations, debug entries are omitted
- /debug3 - generates a log of CCleaner’s operations, info and debug entries are omitted
- /debug4 - generates a log of CCleaner’s operations, only Error and Fatal entries are logged
- /debug5 - generates a log of CCleaner’s operations, only Fatal entries are logged
To run CCleaner in debug mode:
- From the Windows desktop, click Start and then click Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type <path to CCleaner> /[debugx] (where x means the number of mode). Typically, this will be:"C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" /debug
- Click OK. CCleaner starts in debug mode. You will see the word[debug] next to the version number at the top of the program window.
- Once you have finished using CCleaner as usual and have quit the program, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the installation path (the same path you typed in Step 2). The log file will be in this folder in the format: CCleaner_log[date].txt.
